Pseudotaxus chienii, a White-berry Yew, occurs as species of yew, the resole coinage in the genus Pseudotaxus, however closely related the more yews in the genus Taxus. These are endemic to southern China, occurring in northern Guangdong, northern Guangxi, Hunan, southwest Jiangxi and southern Zhejiang.

Prefer more yews, these are the little coniferous shrub or small tree, reaching 2-Five m tall by having blood-red bark. A leaves are lanceolate, flat, One-Two.Sextuplet cm yearn & ii-Three millimeter wide, dark green above, by owning two whiten stomatal bands beneath; it is intended spirally on a stem, however sustaining a leaf bases twisted to align the leaves within both flat rows either side of the stem. A blazing whiten stomatal elastic on a harder, strong (less easy) leaves readily distinguish it from either the yews in the genus Taxus.

These are dioecious, with a male & female cones on different trees. A female (seed) cones may be similar to victims of Taxus mintage, however a aril is white whenever mature, non red; it is Five-7 millimeter yearn & wide. A male (pollen) cones come global, Three-Four millimeter across.

These are grown as an ornamental plant in southern China and now and then elsewhere.
